About Piñata Idea
We are a small family studio that turns paper, paste and a whole lot of color into the centerpiece of your party. Every piñata is cut, layered and fringed by hand — no factory molds, no shortcuts.
Where we started
It began with one birthday piñata for a niece, built on a kitchen table. Friends asked for one, then their friends did, and Piñata Idea became a studio.
What we believe
A celebration should look like the person it is for. That is why nearly everything we make can be customized — colors, size, theme, even the candy load.
How we work
Made to order, in small batches, using traditional Mexican piñata techniques passed down in our family.
How a piñata gets made

You share the idea
A theme, a color palette, a number, a favorite character — anything goes.

We build the shell
Cardboard frame, layered paper mâché, dried between coats so it holds candy and takes a swing.

Fringe & finish
Hand-cut tissue fringe, glued row by row, then detailed with accents and a sturdy hanging loop.

Packed & shipped
Boxed with care so it arrives fluffy and party ready, anywhere in the country.
